The FMCG distribution ecosystem in Bangladesh relies heavily on manual workflows involving sales representatives, dealers, warehouse operators, and delivery personnel. Orders are often recorded on paper or through informal communication channels, leading to frequent disputes, stock inconsistencies, delayed deliveries, and lack of operational visibility.
Dealers typically manage products from multiple companies simultaneously while handling complex commission structures, expiry-sensitive inventory, and cash-heavy transactions. Without a centralized system, tracking product movement, managing due payments, monitoring field staff performance, and reconciling orders becomes extremely difficult.
Additionally, delivery operations are often inefficient due to unstructured route planning, inconsistent retailer engagement, and poor coordination between warehouse and field teams. These inefficiencies result in lower delivery success rates, revenue leakage, and limited operational scalability.
To address these challenges, we developed Happy, a centralized digital platform that manages the entire FMCG supply chain lifecycle.
The system integrates all operational stakeholders into a unified ecosystem, enabling seamless collaboration between administrators, dealers, sales representatives, warehouse teams, delivery personnel, and retailers.
Key implementations included:
• Comprehensive order management system supporting multiple order sources including SR orders, tele-orders, retailer self-orders, and warehouse sales.
• Advanced inventory management with batch-level tracking, expiry monitoring, and real-time stock visibility across warehouses and delivery teams.
• Role-based access control system enabling secure multi-role operations across different organizational levels.
• Financial management modules for commission calculation, investment tracking, due collections, and profit reporting.
• Route and territory management for optimizing sales visits and delivery logistics.
• Operational dashboards and analytics providing insights into sales performance, product demand, and delivery efficiency.
The platform architecture was designed to support scalability while maintaining strict accountability across field operations and warehouse workflows.
The implementation of Happy transformed traditional FMCG distribution workflows into a fully digital and data-driven system.
Key outcomes included:
• Improved order accuracy and reduced operational disputes
• Real-time visibility of inventory and product movement across the supply chain
• Increased delivery success rates through optimized route planning
• Greater accountability and performance tracking for field sales representatives
• Improved financial transparency for dealers and administrators
The platform enabled distribution businesses to operate more efficiently while scaling their operations across multiple regions and product lines.
